Start Your Own Club Today!

Starting a GAA club couldn’t be easier; get a few friends and a football or a few hurls and head to the park for a bit of fun – there, you’ve got the seeds of a new club.

The next step is to build on that and encourage others to join in with our great sports. Before long you may think about formalizing the club and engaging with other clubs in competition.

When you feel you’re ready to make that step you will find some information and resources here to help your club on the way. We have experience with advising clubs getting started in every province in Canada and we would be happy to share our experience with you as you set out to form your own part of the GAA community.

Feel free to contact developmentofficer.ca@gaa.ie for any advice you may need.

If you are considering setting up a new club, please complete the form Step 1 – Application of Interest from below to begin the process!

To find out what shape your club will take, you can read about it here.

This is a quick reference section to inform individuals and clubs about the process of starting a GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association) club in Canada which would be under the remit of Canadian Gaelic Athletic Association (CGAA).
