The Canadian County Board was granted deviation to allow a player in the codes of football and hurling, who had arrived in the jurisdiction of Canada on or before December 31, 2014, and after furnishing proof (documentation) that was approved and certified by the Canadian County Board, is eligible to complete an Inter County Transfer up to a maximum of five (5) players per club on or before March 2, 2015.
Clubs in Canada that had teams compete in both codes of football and hurling in 2014 will be granted up to a maximum of five (5) players per code, to a maximum of ten (10) total.
Eligibility for an ICT will require dated proof of entry into Canada (Passport) on or before December 31, 2014 along with copies of work permits or visa papers that demonstrate residency.
No reciprocal transfer would be allowed under any circumstance, until January 1, 2016 and regulations pertaining to Championship participation would still apply.
Any player from both codes of hurling and football arriving to Canada on January 1, 2015 and onwards will need to apply for a summer sanction.
REMINDER - Any 2014 sanctioned players who did not return to Ireland and to their Clubs back home in 2014 may apply for a transfer at this time.
